Ms. Li founded MVC in early 2003. Prior to MVC, Ms. Li was VP with J.P. Morgan investment banking in Asia, focusing on China. Ms. Li is also an experienced attorney through her practice at the New York, Hong Kong and China offices of the premier Wall Street law firm Sullivan & Cromwell and then as a counsel at the Silicon Valley office of the leading international law firm O'Melveny & Myers.
Ms. Li has significant experience in cross-border transactions involving China, particularly in the media, telecom and technology sectors, having advised major Chinese telcos (e.g., China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom) in their multibillion dollar IPOs and M&A transactions, international media companies (e.g., Time Inc, Warner Brothers, Universal Picture) in their China projects and/or market study, strategic foreign investment and new business strategies of leading Chinese media conglomerates (e.g., Shanghai Media Group, Zhejiang Media Group) as well as various emerging private media/tech companies in venture financing and strategic partnerships.
Ms. Li is a graduate of Beijing University (B.S.), The University of Chicago (M.S.) and The University of Chicago Law School (J.D.) and is admitted to the State Bars of New York and California. She is actively involved with The Asia Society and is a member on its President Circle Program Committee.
